Operation Python Dance 2: Buhari sends Northern Governors to South-East on “Peace Mission”

The Cable reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly sent governors in the Northern region to the South-Eastern part of the country in an effort to restore peace in the geo-political region.

The team of governorsis reportedly to lead by the Chairman of the Northern Governors ForumKashim Shettima, and will include governors of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal; Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu; Katsina, Aminu Masari; and Kano Abdullahi Ganduje.

The president is said to have met with Governors Shettima, Ganduje, and Tambuwal before leaving the country on Sunday for the UN General Assembly, .

The governors will meet with the South-East Governors, as well as their Cross River and Rivers counterparts.

They are expected to discuss the best way to maintain peace in the region, following the the launching of Operation Python Dance geared at stopping the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The South-East governors had on Friday proscribed the group, to mean that their actions are henceforth illegal.
